Valorant Colored Chat

Valorant Colored Chat was a rapidly built hackathon style utility website, designed to generate colored chat messages for the popular FPS game, Valorant. In June 2021, a feature was discovered in the game that allowed users to send colored chat messages through the use of XML-like tags. In response, I built a quick and performant Next.js React site that would generate rainbow or colored text from user input.

A few months after Valorant Colored Chat was released, the feature was removed from Valorant. The website, while dormant, is still live as a demonstration of what used to be possible.
